Packaging Technician  

• Prior mechanical experience and/or experience working as a Packaging Operator/Technician in the Food co-packing industry. Additional electrical experience preferable.    
• Technical Background. 
• Experience working with packaging equipment such as VFFS machines, Doypack machines, Flow-Wrappers, Shrink-Wrap machines, Manual-Filling machines and other related equipment. 
• Experience working with case sealers, linear/multi-head scales, check weighers and metal detectors as well as calibrating and adjusting parameters as needed. 
• Experience in quickly changing film with proper calibration and positioning.  
• Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time to check system functions and proper operations. 
• Minimize packaging systems downtime.
• Capable of moving, lifting bags/boxes of bulk food up to 50lbs. 
• Ability to palletize and stretch-wrap items as needed. 
• Ability to operate forklifts a plus.
• Experience working in GMP environments.  
• Operate and troubleshoot packaging system lines as needed. 
• Ability to quickly identify quality control issues related to food safety and State/Federal regulatory requirements. 
• Ability to complete CAR and NCR reports as needed.
